Book A Stay At This Unforgettable, Candy-Inspired Suite In America For The Cheap Price Of $12.15

If you've ever yearned for a golden ticket to the fantasy land in the timeless classic "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," this might just be the next best thing. Ahead of the highly anticipated film "Wonka" starring Timothée Chalamet, two pairs of guests will have the chance to stay at candy-inspired hotel suites for the rock-bottom price of $12.15, a nod to the film's release date of December 15, 2023.

The Wonka Suites, as they've been nicknamed, are located at the Park Lane New York in New York City and the Viceroy Santa Monica in Los Angeles. The lavish, candy-filled suites will be available on Booking.com on December 13. Both rooms will go live at noon (Eastern Standard Time) and the first lucky people to hit the reserve button will secure their spot for a one-night stay on December 15. This unforgettable trip comes with a pair of tickets to see the new film, access to themed activities, and, of course, a mountain of sweets to tuck into.

What to expect in the Wonka Suites

In the Wonka Suites, guests can expect decor fit for a chocolate factory, including a replica of the tree found in Wonka's candy shop, suitcases overflowing with candy, cake-inspired lamps on the nightstands, candy-shaped pillows, a chocolate phone, a chocolate camera, and a bathroom stuffed with decorative bubbles. The bed is framed with a poignant quote from the film: "Every good thing in this world started with a dream." Something to ponder while you munch away on endless sweets of every variety.

Among the confections galore, you'll find limited-edition Wonka Magic Hat Gummies, life-size chocolate treats, and edible chocolate cups to wash down candy-inspired drinks. Not to mention jars and jars of candy. Don't forget to leave room for chocolate bars and marshmallows on the bed, along with cotton candy clouds that resemble those in the film. It truly is a world of pure imagination, as Gene Wilder sang in the 1971 musical based on Roald Dahl's book, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

Upgrades and dessert-themed bookings

The Wonka Suites are on offer through a collaboration with Booking.com and Highgate Hotels. Each booking includes an overnight stay, an itinerary full of activities, vintage posters, travel stamp wallpaper, film tickets, and airport transfers. If you're a Level 2 or 3 member of Booking.com's Genius loyalty program, your stay will also include a chocolate-themed breakfast. That is, if you still have room after eating all the treats in your suite.

If you can't book the Wonka Suites before someone else grabs them, not to worry. There are a handful of other dessert and chocolate-inspired hotels around the world, like the Chocolate Hotel in Brazil, the Sweets Hotel Ruby in Japan, the Chocohotel in Italy, and the Hotel Fabrico do Chocolate in Portugal. The latter boasts an entire museum dedicated to chocolate, a chocolate shop, and chocotherapy treatments, like massages and facials that include cacao. These hotels are so immersive that even Willy Wonka himself would be proud.
